As you might have heard, DrupalCon Sydney sold out in record time, with almost 500 attendees descending on the Crowne Plaza Coogee from February 6-9 to share and collaborate on all things related to the Drupal open source content management platform.
For anyone still wanting to attend, the event kicks off with a separately ticketed Drupal Business Day on Wednesday February 6 for business leaders and managers looking to incorporate the leading open source content management system into their organisations’ technology suite.
The day will commence with a keynote by government ICT policy adviser and open source advocate, Pia Waugh, with a talk focusing on the dramatic effect open source technologies and methodologies are having in large organisations for delivering citizen-centric digital services. DrupalCon Sydney’s theme is “Growing Drupal Downunder,” and the Business Day will also feature case studies on how SBS and Flight Centre have both succeeded by selecting and switching to Drupal to power their complex web sites.
Following the catered lunch onsite at the Coogee Beach Crowne Plaza, a panel of local and international Drupal experts will provide insights into questions from attendees about deploying Drupal into large enterprise and government.
