Link Digital was engaged by the University of New South Wales to find the appropriate technological solution for the development of a website featuring over two thousand Australian Defence Force veteran video interviews encompassing Australia’s wartime history from World War One to Afghanistan.
The new Australians at War Film Archive website was developed using Drupal. It leverages the Amazon Web Services (AWS) distributed content delivery network to provide network edge delivery of media files and transcoding service. The solution is robust enough to handle multiple users simultaneously requesting large video files in addition to facilitating complex search functionality.
