National Archives of Australia Launches Vrroom

On 13 October 2005, the beta version of the Vrroom website was launched to the world by Senator the Hon Rod Kemp, Minister for the Arts and Sport. The National Archives’ Virtual Reading Room is an educational website targeted towards High School and College students to introduce them to the use of Primary Sources as a basis for research and information.

In close collaboration with NAA staff, Link designed and developed the site with a clear focus on the learning experience of the students. In his opening speech, Senator Kemp commented that the site would reach thousands of students fulfilling one of the National Archives’ core objectives of making its collection known and accessible to the public.
