Prior to 2008, abnormal levels of activity on the ACTTAB website on and around Melbourne Cup Day had affected their online betting services. Building on our success in this regard in 2008, Link mitigated concerns by again creating what is essentially a new website specifically for Melbourne Cup punters.

This site uses some clever techniques to actively store ACTTAB’s Racing and SportsBet data on our hosting server. We then give this data a new look and present it back for all the world to see.

The site included links to form guides and betting information, a downloadable/printable Melbourne Cup sweep poster and login facilities for existing members (and to encourage new memberships). A Link developer was made exclusively available to ACTTAB on Cup Day to provide details online of any late changes to track conditions or scratchings and to ensure any unexpected issues got immediate attention.
